Escaped swiftly due to a quick glance at the other side
The grass, green like the emeralds on her earrings
Ever so growing, full of life, but only by her feet
The glare blinded me and out slipped my grip

The dreams of the world had filled my insides
Within a split second, I was all soaked in, nowhere to hide
The glow from her eyes consumed all of me
I could not turn away, instead I drowned in her sarcastic smile

Mysterious and unique, a look of despise unconstrained
She did not like my never ending stare into her heaven
So instead she ran in, hiding all the green grass I could see
As if hypnotized I awoke from the daydream

Sinking in depths of my personal hellish fire
I look back and the grip I had was all gone
Falling hard on the grounds below my feet
I faint and scream within - no one can hear me

Blinded by the green grass on the other side
No longer visible to my human, unmindful eyes
But a crystal clear image the mind cannot let go
Eyes slowly open, but I cannot see anymore

The last image I will never forget
Sensing the beauty of the green all around me
I smile and cry and fall even deeper
Into the same trance of the lady in gold
