the demise of our future PDF Print E-mail
Written by Tabata Young

the earth spins too fast at times
and the tarot card reader
suffers from temporary blindness
the pretty faces mesh with the ugly
and we all become the same
sad expression
nature’s irrevocable mistake

death is a comet aiming
at the side of the road
as we speed carelessly
when highways are endless
and crash with landing

august stars fade and the road home
splits paths in all directions
the way light scatters
causing moments to pause
when we are still all the same

inward reflections become
outer deflections
and walls are built
visible from space
to imprison our differences

thoughts are programmable but
the universe has exhausted its computing
and we become the plague
a virus invading nearly asphyxiating

cosmos fragment and the moon floats
still, barren grounds for encounters
frozen in time-space, the face of demise

we march away from unity since
love is as scarce as god’s presence
and though nature mends hyperspacial
dimensions
we insist on breaking
wounding every soul
hiding away in gravity

and the future has yet to unfold

Quotes

Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.

Edgar Allan Poe
